Leavell Up Fitness Membership
The Leavell Up Fitness Membership is a virtual inclusive fitness space that strives to help people feel connected to their bodies and part of a movement community. As a Coach, I provide Cardio Jam, Dance Cardio, Strength, and Stretch + Mobility classes!

Dance Cardio (45 min)
A fun & and energizing 45-minute workout that blends Hip-hop, Latin-inspired dance, and cardio principles to improve your endurance, coordination, and relationship to movement! Most of the choreo can be done in a chair and I invite all my class members to do what's best for them in the moment. Since we're on Zoom you can keep your camera off during class and only come off if you feel comfortable doing so
What you need for class: a chair (preferably armless), sweat towel, water, supportive footwear if you would like!

Slow Jams (45 min)
If Stretch + Mobility and Dance Cardio had a baby, it would be named Slow Jams. This class will combine the principles of contemporary dance, stretch, and mobility. The dance and mobility portion includes movements that warm you up and bring you through a range of motion while the stretches help you drop into your body and connect to your breath. Class typically takes place on the floor.
What you need for class: Water, a yoga mat, extra padding like a pillow or bolster, a yoga block or a book, and anything else you like for rolling around on the floor. Show your body a little love and find flow in the music.

Rooted in Rest: A Werking Moms Club Wellness Retreat
Let’s be real—moms don’t need another brunch. We need a break!
Join us for Rooted in Rest, a soulful wellness experience designed to help hardworking, heart-centered mamas reconnect with themselves, their breath, and their joy. Hosted by Werking Moms Club, this half-day retreat blends movement, mindfulness, and community in the name of radical rest and replenishment.
What to expect:
We’re kicking things off with a high-energy cardio and strength fusion class led by Ashantis Jones (@iamashantis)—think dance party meets workout and pure joy.
Then, we’ll slow it all the way down with restorative yoga led by Nia Ellis (@nias.nest), a calming guided meditation with L’Oreal Thompson Payton (@LTintheCity), and a deeply grounding sound bath with Candyce Jones (@noelledeluneyoga).
Whether you're deep in the motherhood trenches or just need space to exhale, this is your permission slip to pause. Because taking care of yourself is the most radical thing you can do—and you deserve it.

✨ Goodie bags, light refreshments, and community vibes
✨ A portion of proceeds will benefit Free Root Operation’s The Bloom Network, centering the wellbeing of Black women and moms in Chicago
FAQs
Who is this event for?
Rooted in Rest is for all mamas—new moms, seasoned moms, moms-to-be, mother figures, and everyone in between. If you’ve been feeling stretched thin and in need of some soul-centered self-care, this space is for you.
Do I need to be experienced in yoga or dance to attend?
No, not at all! ALL levels are welcome here. Whether you’re rolling out your mat for the first time or have been werking your flow for years, every session is designed to meet you where you are.
What should I bring?
Just bring yourself, a water bottle, and wear something comfy you can move in. We’ll provide yoga mats and any props you’ll need—but feel free to bring your own if you’d prefer.
What’s included in my ticket?
Your ticket includes access to all sessions (dance cardio + strength, restorative yoga, guided meditation, and sound bath), a curated goodie bag, light refreshments, and connection with an incredible community of moms.
Will childcare be provided?
While we’d love to offer that in the future, this event is designed as time just for you. We encourage you to take this opportunity to be fully present—for your body, your breath, and your well-being.
What if I can’t stay the whole time?
You’re welcome to come for what you can, though we do recommend staying for the full experience if possible. Each session flows into the next to create a truly restorative arc.
How does this event support Free Root Operation’s The Bloom Network?
A portion of proceeds from every ticket sold will be donated to The Bloom Network, a Free Root Operation initiative focused on the mental health and empowerment of Black women and moms. Your rest is powerful—and so is your impact.
Where is the event taking place?
We’ll be gathering at We The People, a beautiful community space in Chicago designed for creativity and connection.

Will masks be required?
Masks are optional, but always welcome. We’ll have hand sanitizer available throughout the space, and we ask that if you’re feeling unwell, you stay home and rest.
Is the venue accessible?
Yes! We The People is an ADA-accessible venue. If you have specific accessibility needs or questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to hello@werkingmomsclub.com so we can ensure your experience is as smooth and comfortable as possible.
What is your refund policy?
Tickets are non-refundable, but they are transferable. If you can no longer attend, you’re welcome to gift or sell your ticket to another mama who could use the rest. Just email us at hello@werkingmomsclub.com to update the attendee name.
Queer Dance Party (45 MIN)
Get ready to move, groove, and celebrate! Join us for a vibrant Queer Dance Party hosted by Ashantis Jones (she/they) of Bellamy & Associates and Toni of BodiShak. This event is all about embracing queer joy, inclusive movement, and the power of community.
This event is open to everyone who wants to celebrate diversity, express themselves through movement, and connect with the community. Whether you're a seasoned dancer or just looking to try something new, come as you are!
Spaces are limited, so be sure to register in advance. Let's come together to celebrate, dance, and uplift one another!
Note: This event is donation-based, with all contributions supporting our ongoing community initiatives.

Strength 45 (45 min)
This is a 45-minute class that incorporates cardio tabatas with strength moves. While weights are helpful they are not required. Class will start standing and end on the floor. You can also bring a yoga mat or soft spot for the floor!
Since we're on Zoom you can keep your camera off during class and only come off if you feel comfortable doing so.
What you need for class: A yoga mat or soft spot for the floor, weight (if you already have them), sweat towel, water, supportive footwear if you would like!

Dance Cardio: Black Girl Magic Edition (45 min)
Join Ashantis for a fun & and energizing 45-minute workout that blends Hip-hop, Latin-inspired dance, and cardio principles to improve your endurance, coordination, and relationship to movement! For the month of February, we are highlighting Black musical artists and Black history. This month's Dance Cardio will include a curated playlist that may include more explicit versions of hit songs. Most of the choreo can be done in a chair and we invite all class members to do what's best for them in the moment. While "throwin ass" is not a requirement, it will be HIGHLY encouraged!

This is a most levels class that will primarily utilize Kettlebells as our tool through a full body workout, but you can complete the same movements with a dumbbell or no weight if preferred. We recommend a yoga mat, a 10lb or 15lb Kettlebell (or dumbbell), a sweat towel, and water. You’re welcome to wear flat shoes if you’d like.

Outdoor Dance Cardio (45 Min)
A fun & energizing workout that blends Hip-Hop, Latin-inspired dance, and cardio principles to improve your endurance, coordination, and relationship to movement! With great music and a supportive atmosphere, you'll have a blast regardless of your dance or fitness background.
Modifications and short breaks will be provided throughout the workout.
This class is being offered both in-person and virtually!

Movement for Every Body by Dr. Marcia is out on August 13th! Let's celebrate with breathing, stretching, and dancing. Free to join, but registration is required! The vibes are Megan meets Afrobeats, so we shall be throwing lots of @ss!
